Ashes 2009: England wins back Ashes

Oval Test: England wins back Ashes after win in Last test
Many see Andrew Strauss as the key man in England's Ashes victory but the victorious captain was quick to pay tribute to the entire team today at The Oval.

"We had to work so hard for it today," Strauss said. "These things never come easy. It's been hard work by the XI on the field and the backroom staff as well. It's a massive moment and I'm determined to enjoy it."

England looked to be heading to an easy victory after setting Australia a huge victory target yesterday but the tourists dug in this morning and Strauss admitted his belief wavered occasionally. "At times I didn't think we were going to get there but that makes it more special," he added.

Australia captain Ricky Ponting was struggling to come to terms with losing the Ashes at The Oval for the second time in four years. "We're all disappointed, obviously, and I guess for me as the captain of the side it's even more disappointing," he said. "It's probably fair to say I've had a few disappointing times here. It's probably not my favourite ground in the world."

The pitch was seen by many as contributing to England's victory after Strauss won the toss and elected to bat and Ponting admitted he was unimpressed by the state of the wicket. "It was a a poor wicket – I'm not blaming the wicket – but it was a poor Test match wicket. But both sides had the same. The difference in this game was our first-innings batting."

Ponting also conceded it had been a mistake not to select Australia's spinner, Nathan Hauritz, in a Test where the ball turned sharply. "In hindsight, no [the decision to leave out Hauritz was incorrect], but I don't think anybody saw that happening," he added. "I think England would have played two spinners if they had."

Stuart Broad bowled superbly in Australia's first innings and Ponting singled the Nottinghamshire player out for praise. "I think Broad's last couple of games have been pretty impressive," he said. "He's stood up probably when his position was in a bit of jeopardy as well."

Ubuntu is a community developed, Linux-based operating system that is perfect for laptops, desktops and servers. It contains all the applications you need - a web browser, presentation, document and spreadsheet software, instant messaging and much more.

The Debian Project is an association of individuals who have made common cause to create a free operating system. This operating system that we have created is called Debian GNU/Linux, or simply Debian for short.

You can not seed anything that you do not have.
Example if you have only 50%, you can only seed 50%. so you can not begin to seed with 0%.But you upload while you download. About seeds and peers, uploading and creating torrents, re-seeding as well as utorrent read my earlier posts.

Reseeding a torrent
I am sure many of us have experienced when we are stuck after downloading 99% of torrent. In such a case I suggest you find free trackers to download torrent file or find more active trackers for old torrents.

But if any of these things don't work-out for you, then request for someone to reseed that torrent.

Reseeding:- When there are few or no active seeds (or no enough peers to have distributed copy) for the specific torrent, all the peers get stuck at some percentage with incomplete download, since no one among the swarm has the missing pieces of file.
At this point to have complete download someone with a complete download copy (a seed) must join the swarm so that we can download missing pieces. This is reseeding.

For reseeding you have to request someone and as he/she obliges, I feel you should also seed that file after your download is complete to help others. Keep Seeding :)

What do you upload while using Torrents?

BitTorrent says I'm uploading, what files am I sharing?
Some of my friends where bit apprehensive that if a computer which is seeding has viruses would the whole swarm (seeds and peers) balance will get corrupted. Guys don't worry you are uploading only those files which you have downloaded and nothing else. No other file gets uploaded. But yes if the torrent file originally contained a virus can't help it!
That is why I suggest you choose torrent carefully (read :- Ways of Finding Best Quality Torrents). Also if you want to share any file using peer-to-peer (P2P) you need to create and upload torrent .

Availability graph colors in utorrent

While downloading files from utorrent you might have noticed in pieces tab there is a column for availability. It shows different colours viz. dark blue, pale blue and red. So what does these colors mean and how they illustrate the availability of torrent.

The color red means the piece is not available amongst the peers you're connected to. (this means availability is less than 1 and you may not be able to complete the torrent)

Pale blue means that the piece is present amongst the peers you're connected to, but rare.

The darker the blue, the more common the piece is in the swarm.
